Sewing Along With Amy, Week 1

My last post here was a note about a quilt along.   Really I had no intention of participating, but today I just had to go through my stash and start this.  This quilt will be for Charlotte and Veronica’s double bed, and that is why I am doing two of each block.  The pink and blue material with the umbrellas and bonnets is one of my very favorite.  It was bought at a quilt show years ago in Berryville, Virginia.  How I wish I had bought more!  It is very exciting to finally use it up.  When it was bought, we only had boys.  I never dreamed that I would be making a quilt for my daughter!  Enjoy the pictures!   (Remember to click on the photos to enlarge them.)
