Thanksgiving 2008

We didn’t do much this Thanksgiving, except give Thanks.  But that is OK.  It was a gorgeous day.  I just love Tennessee weather.  It gets really cold, sometimes, but it doesn’t last too long.  We were enjoying walking around on our property on such a beautiful day.  In the afternoon Uncle Tom came over for a game of football.

Now, in case you are wondering, the bags in the background are full of leaves to go into the garden for some fertilizer.

What is so fun about Uncle Tom playing football?  Do you notice MaryEllen laying on the ground?  One of the plays was she was suppose to fall on the ground and pretend to be hurt to distract the other team.  That, however, didn’t work.  One play that was interesting was called the “Statue of Liberty.”  The person with the ball runs holding the ball in the air with one arm straight up, looking like the statue of liberty.  We can always count on Uncle Tom to bring some fun around.
