Today’s Snow

How exciting!  We were really expecting flurries like we always get, but we awoke to the most snow we have seen since living here in Tennessee.  The children got to sled on snow instead of grass for a change.   Joe went out and took video of them sledding.  Then they came in and made snow ice cream (thanks to Mr. Tolf who told them how.)  I hope the neighbors were not planning on sleeping in because the boys were out before 6 a.m.  Personally, I was looking forward to sleeping in, but with her brothers outside, Charlotte insisted that she go as well, so snow pants and boots had to be found.  Just before 7 a.m. it was still snowing, so I went (in my slippers) on the porch to take a few shots.

Hope everyone at your house is doing well! My kids played in the snow for a short while, too….till it started melting.

    Take care!!

Wasn’t it beautiful? My children played in it for a while, too 🙂 This was the biggest snow that we have gotten since Rachel was little (about 4 1/2 or 5 years ago). So, we all enjoyed it for the little while that it lasted!
Hope you all are doing well. I check on here every once in awhile to see how you all are 🙂

Wasn’t it lovely! We had about 3-4 inches, and it looked beautiful, like a white blanket over the area.

For our first snow this winter that had enough to sled in, Tom decided to stand up on the sled. He used it as a snow board. He broke his left arm, just below the shoulder, within 10 minutes of going outside.
