Health Woes

Two nights ago I was out at a restaurant with some friends.  You would think I would know better than to eat at a place with the word “shack” in the title.  Immediately after eating, my chin started tingling and breaking out with what looked to be little tiny blisters.  Nothing like that has ever happened to me before.  It got worse the next day.  That day while I was exercising (not very hard, either), my back went out.  That is only the second time in my life that ever happened.  Then I had a slight pain in my tooth that had a root canal and crown.  Well, the pain got much worse until I was calling around to find someone to look at it.  I found out that a lot of dentists and root canal specialists go on vacation for a few weeks this time of year.  The outcome?  Oral surgery on Tuesday morning and severe pain.  Hopefully the antibiotics will help soon.  So, please don’t expect any posts for the next few days and please say a little prayer.

Ouch! I am so sorry to hear of this. I have never had a cavity (knock on wood, as Aunt Louise would say). Mom had Tom and me on flouride pills (I think as part of some study), while we were kids, and I think that helped. But, helping more was the fact that mom didn’t feed us too much suger, just like your kids don’t eat much sugar at all. Hopefully they will be spared from this! Now, widsom teeth. THAT’s a different matter ALTOGETHER.

I need to see you guys soon!

    Love,
    Laura

Oh dear Kristen! Sounds awful – and sadly, I know all too well the pain of dental problems. I just had the same oral surgery you’re about to have about 2 months ago. All went well! I’ll be praying and offering up for you! I hope your weekend flies by!
